JAE Chassis (J Allen Enterprises), a Canadian company established in 2003 and acquired by MDT in 2019, has released the new generation of their renowned bolt-action rifle chassis which is apparently their first product as an MDT company. The new JAE-700 G4 is a premium-grade chassis designed for precision long-range shooting. Let’s see what features are packed in this new chassis.
Bolt Action Rifle Chassis Articles @ TFB:
JAE-700 G4 chassis is compatible with Remington 700 Short Action footprint actions. The chassis features a full-length aluminum skeleton and polymer side panels with rubber inserts between these two main components to cut down on felt recoil. The skeleton is machined out of 6061-T6 aluminum and has a Type III mil-spec hard coat anodized finish. Currently, the chassis comes with black side panels, however, in the future, the company will make different-color side panels available separately. The JAE-700 G4 chassis also features an adjustable cheekpiece, spacer-adjustable rubber buttpad, as well as angled and vertical grip options with adjustable palm rests.
An interesting feature of JAE Chassis is the adjustable magazine well which allows to “adjust for fit of magazine by moving front collet fore and aft and adjust for feed by moving vertical sear in mag release“. This feature should allow to fine-tune the position of the magazine to achieve the highest feeding reliability possible.
The forearm of the JAE-700 G4 chassis has M-LOK rail panels on the sides and bottom. The bottom section also comes with a Harris bipod adapter and has a built-in Arca Swiss rail. The sling attachment options include three QD sling swivel sockets on either side of the chassis. The JAE-700 G4 chassis has an overall length of 33.5″ at an LOP of 13.5″ and weighs in at 6.25lbs.
The JAE-700 G4 chassis is currently available for preorder on the company’s website at an MSRP of $2,599.95. The estimated start of shipping is August 2022.
