Wilson Combat has just announced the introduction of new Lehigh Defense Xtreme Defense ammunition that will be available through their online store. New LeHigh Defense Xtreme Defense Ammo Available At Wilson Combat
Now available – Xtreme Defense ammunition in 9mm, .45 ACP, .380 ACP, 10mm, and .40 S&W. Xtreme Defense is machined from solid copper with the most advanced technology called Fluid Transfer Monolithic.
The progressive geometry allows for deep, straight penetration while creating a permanent wound cavity diameter exceeding that of most expanding bullets. Penetrating barriers such as drywall or heavy clothing prior to impacting the intended target doesn’t have the potentially negative effect on the Xtreme Defense that it does to conventional hollow point bullets.
Controlled Chaos ammunition in 300 Blackout, 300 HAM’R, .223 Remington and .308 Winchester. Controlled Chaos bullets offer both rapid expansion and deep penetration. Once fluid is impacted, they shed the front portion of the bullet into multiple petals that radiate outward away from the bullet’s initial trajectory path resulting in a massive energy spike. The bore diameter base of the bullet continues and penetrates deeply in a straight line. Both the temporary and permanent wound cavity created by this bullet separation is dramatic resulting in quick incapacitation.
A full line of Lehigh Defense bullets are now available including Maximum Expansion, Controlled Fracturing, Match Solid, Wide Flat Nose, Controlled Chaos, Xtreme Penetrator, Enhanced Xtreme Penetrator, Xtreme Defense, and Enhanced Xtreme Defense.
There are over 10 new options available through the Wilson Combat online store with most of them being common pistol caliber offerings including 10mm. The four rifle offerings include 300 HAM’R, 300 Blackout, and two varieties of .223 Remington including 55-grain and 62-grain offerings. At the time of writing, all of these options are available and in stock. Let us know what your experiences with Lehigh Defense ammunition have been so far down in the comments and if you’re looking forward to trying out any of these offerings from Wilson Combat in the future. One cool feature that Wilson Combat has added to their online store is that they’ve also listed the associated barrel length at which the ammunition achieves its listed velocity! Other ammunition companies should take note and follow!
