Judging by the amount of new AR-10 pattern firearms released by American companies lately, I think it is safe to say that this is currently one of the most booming market segments in the industry. Joining the many other AR-10 style rifles and pistols introduced this year is the new Trojan Firearms TROY rifle available in .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor chamberings. Let’s take a closer look.
AR-10 Rifles @ TFB:
The new Trojan Firearms TROY rifle is a direct impingement firearm with a rifle-length gas system and adjustable low-profile gas block. It features CNC-machined 7075-T6 billet aluminum upper and lower receivers and 6061-T6 aluminum 18″ free-floated M-LOK handguards that have a Cerakote finish of Sniper Gray and Trojan Green colors. The 416 stainless steel medium contour polygonal rifled barrels are threaded with the 5/8×24 thread pitch and come with TFA Gen I 300 series muzzle brakes installed. The barrels have a 1:8″ twist rate for both caliber options and are available in 18″ or 20″ lengths. The proprietary bolt carrier group is nitrided. TROY rifles also feature Magpul ACS stocks, ambidextrous charging handles and drop-in adjustable (3 to 6 lbs) single-stage triggers with straight or curved trigger shoes. Depending on the barrel length, Trojan Firearms TROY rifles have an overall length of 39.375″ or 41.375″ and weigh in at 8.9 or 10.6 lbs.
Trojan Firearms TROY rifles are currently available on special order. Although it is possible to select options like color and trigger shape, no price is being generated on the Trojan Firearms website.
