Romanian Soldier with Pușcă Automată model 1986 -The Firearm Blog

To the best of my knowledge, the rifle in today’s Photo Of The Day is a Pușcă Automată model 1986 (Automatic Rifle Model 1986) chambered in 5.45×39mm. It’s made by Romarm National Company / Cugir Arms Factory, established in 1799. If you know better, you’re welcome to correct my error in the comments below.

Saber Junction 22 is a multinational rotation exercise designed to assess the readiness of the U.S. Army’s 173rd Airborne Brigade to execute unified land operations in a joint combined environment and to promote interoperability with more than 4,500 participants from the U.S. and Allied partner nations at the U.S. Army’s Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels training areas.

One of the goals of TFB’s Photo Of The Day is to share treasures from the world of firearms, while giving credits to the photographer. We add tags to make the database searchable.
