The older I get the more fascinated I’ve become with human psychology. There are so many types of people out there that it boggles my mind how people think, act, and ultimately how they view the world. I assume that’s why politics is so polarizing and infuriating.
Anyway, the video below is further evidence of just how different even criminals (including psychopaths, sociopaths, etc.) think about their victims. The interesting part is that, whether they consciously realize it or not, criminals target the same people for one big reason: the way a person walks or carries themselves tells the bad guys whether you’re likely to be an easy target or not.
Your gait, unfortunately, is an innate characteristic of a person that is difficult to change. The surprising problem is that any conscious attempt to change your gait could make you a bigger target! But he talks about more than just how you walk. And if you spend much time in public places or just want to understand criminal behavior better, the first video below is a good one to watch.
And while the second video below should largely be common sense, it’s a good reminder of how you should be carrying yourself, beyond how you walk. He discusses keeping your head up, trusting early warning signs, and having a simple exit plan, among other topics. Enjoy!
The next video is about how to make yourself a harder target…
